This week Aware Real Estate together with our partners Aware Super and Barings along with special guest the Hon. Minister Danny Pearson- Minister for Economic Growth and Jobs officially launched a bold new brand for the newly acquired destination for logistics excellence- Melbourne Intermodal and Industrial Exchange- MIIX.
Aware Super’s $1.6 billion investment in this 99-hectare industrial estate in Melbourne’s North also houses the nation’s first privately funded open-access intermodal freight terminal, , further unlocking value to the Victorian economy and national supply chain and generating almost ,2000 jobs.
The Hon. Danny Pearson, Minister for Economic Growth and Jobs together with Aware Super, Aware Real Estate and Barings, together with industry colleagues and friends, celebrated this milestone for the project.
The Minister said,
“MIIX will feature the largest intermodal freight terminal in Australia – creating thousands of jobs and supporting businesses to grow and invest in Victoria.”
