Aware Real Estate warmly welcomes Rachel Argaman (Herman) to the Board of Directors, as a Non-Executive Director, effective 13th February 2023.
A visionary leader with a track record of transformation, Ms Argaman drives a performance culture which is engaged and customer centric. Ms Argaman is the CEO of Opal Health Care, a top tier operator in the aged care sector with 91 care communities across Australia, and a strong development pipeline.
Ms Argaman joined Opal Health Care in 2018 after a 20-year career in hotels, including as CEO of TFE Hotels. In 2022 Rachel was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for service to the tourism and hospitality industry.
In welcoming Ms Argaman to the Leadership Team, Aware Real Estate CEO Michelle McNally said this new appointment will bring a wealth of operational experience and proven capability.

Ms Argaman said, “I am pleased to be joining the Aware Real Estate Board and to contribute to the important role of maximising returns for Aware Super’s 1.1 million members, as well as to be participating in the creation of the all-important provision of housing for essential workers who play such a valuable role in our community.”
Ms Argaman’s success to date has been recognised by various industry and business awards. These include Australian Hotelier of the Year, Telstra National Corporate Business Woman of the Year, and the prestigious Fellow of the International Centre for Excellence Award. Ms Argaman is a former chair of OzHarvest and Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School Advisory Board.
